Foreclosure rate pretty much down in salt lake city Utah and fallen significantly in last one year. Utah, who used to be at the top ten on the national list, is now at 35th with a foreclosure rate of only 1.79 percent, a vast improvement from the numbers in 2008.
Realty Trac publishes a national database of foreclosure and bank-owned properties from approximately 2,500 counties across the nation. Its report showed that the foreclosure filings — default notices, auction sale notices and bank repossessions — nationwide climbed 9.5 percent in the first six months of 2009 and jumped almost 15 percent from the first six months of last year. Report also indicated that one in every 84 households in the United States received at least one foreclosure filing during the first half of the year. The Utah state’s delinquency rate, a measure of mortgages at least 30 days past due and an early indicator of foreclosures, was 6.06 percent. Although the rate was up from the 4.15 percent in fourth quarter 2007, the state still had the 13th-lowest delinquency rate, with the national rate at 7.88 percent. |
The top five states at the top of the foreclosure list now include Florida, Nevada, Arizona, California and Ohio.
